Description

1700°C High-Temperature Box-Type Resistance Furnace

The 1700°C Resistance-Heated Muffle Furnace is a laboratory furnace utilizing resistance heating. It is primarily used in laboratory and industrial settings for high-temperature sintering, calcination, heat treatment, melting, ashing, and materials performance research. It utilizes Grade 1800 molybdenum disilicide heating elements and Type B thermocouples for temperature measurement. The furnace chamber is constructed from high-purity alumina and high-temperature fiber insulation materials, offering low heat storage, thermal shock resistance, and excellent thermal insulation properties.

The equipment is equipped with an intelligent temperature controller that supports various control modes—such as standard PID, AI-based APID, and MPT—and offers functions including auto-tuning, self-learning, programmed heating and cooling, dwell (holding), cyclic operation, pause, and stop.

Product Features

  1. 1700°C High-Temperature Operation Capability

The 1700°C model supports a maximum operating temperature of 1700°C and a long-term operating temperature of 1680°C, with a control range of 100–1700°C. It is suitable for experiments and material R&D requiring high-temperature sintering, calcination, and heat treatment.

It utilizes 1800-grade molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) heating elements to meet heating requirements in 1700°C environments.

  1. Intelligent Programmable Temperature Control

Equipped with an intelligent temperature controller supporting various regulation modes—such as PID, APID, and MPT—it features auto-tuning, self-learning, and curve-fitting capabilities.

The control system supports heating and cooling control at arbitrary rates and includes functions such as run, pause, stop, and program jumping (looping), allowing for flexible temperature curve settings tailored to specific experimental processes.

  1. Multiple Safety Protection Systems

Features an integrated modular control unit with dual-loop control and dual-loop protection designs to safeguard the equipment’s operating status.

The system includes protections against overshoot, undershoot, thermocouple breakage, phase loss, overvoltage, overcurrent, over-temperature, and current feedback issues, as well as soft-start functionality, thereby minimizing the impact of abnormal conditions on the equipment and heating elements.

It employs thyristor closed-loop control technology to achieve constant voltage, constant current, or constant power control, enhancing stability during high-temperature operation.

  1. Efficient Thermal Insulation and Air-Cooled Furnace Structure

The furnace lining is constructed from vacuum-formed, high-purity alumina lightweight insulation material, characterized by high temperature resistance, low heat storage, resistance to thermal shock (rapid heating/cooling), durability against cracking and dusting, and excellent thermal insulation performance.

The furnace body features an air-cooled, double-layer carbon steel structure; air-guiding baffles circulate cool air within the furnace shell, effectively lowering the temperature of the outer casing and the conductive components of the heating elements. Under normal operating conditions, the external shell temperature is maintained below 45°C.

  1. Automatic Power-Off Protection Upon Door Opening at High Temperatures

The furnace design incorporates a safety protection feature that automatically cuts off power if the door is opened while the furnace is at high temperatures. When the furnace door is opened during operation, the equipment automatically disconnects the main heating circuit; this reduces the risk of electric shock and accidental operation during high-temperature material retrieval, thereby enhancing operational safety.
