High-Purity Corundum Crucible for Melting, Sintering, and Heat Treatment
PRODUCT PARAMETERS
Description
Corundum Crucible
Corundum crucibles are manufactured using 99% high-purity alumina (Al₂O₃) as the main raw material, through advanced processes such as isostatic pressing and high-temperature sintering. They possess high purity, high density, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and excellent chemical stability. The product’s bulk density can reach 3.0–3.3 g/cm³, and it can be used stably at high temperatures up to 1750℃ for extended periods.Corundum crucibles are commonly used refractory containers in high-temperature experiments and industrial production.
Product Features
- High-purity alumina material, purity ≥99%
The main chemical component is Al₂O₃, with a purity exceeding 99%. Bulk density 3.0-3.3 g/cm³, dense structure, non-volatile and non-contaminating at high temperatures, making it particularly suitable for high-temperature processing of high-purity materials.
- Ultra-high temperature performance, long-term use at 1750℃
It can be used stably at 1750℃ for extended periods, exhibiting excellent high-temperature resistance.
- Excellent thermal stability
It possesses excellent thermal stability, resisting rapid heating and cooling without cracking or deformation under frequent temperature increases and decreases. Adaptable to rapid heating processes, extending the crucible’s service life.
- Strong chemical inertness and excellent corrosion resistance
It exhibits strong corrosion resistance to precious metals (gold, silver, platinum, palladium), iron, cobalt, nickel-based alloys, and acidic environments. It does not react with most metals and fluxes at high temperatures, ensuring the purity of the melt.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- What is the highest temperature that a corundum crucible can withstand?
The recommended long-term operating temperature for corundum crucibles is up to 1750℃. They can withstand higher temperatures for short periods, but it is recommended to control the operating temperature appropriately according to specific process conditions to extend product life.
- What materials are suitable for melting with corundum crucibles?
Suitable for precious metals such as gold, silver, and platinum, as well as high-temperature metal materials such as iron, cobalt-based alloys, and nickel-based alloys. Also suitable for high-temperature processes such as ceramics, new energy materials, and powder sintering.
- Are corundum crucibles resistant to acid and alkali corrosion?
Corundum crucibles have excellent chemical stability and good corrosion resistance to most acidic media and molten metals. However, in strongly alkaline molten media or certain special chemical environments, the appropriate crucible material should be selected according to the specific working conditions.
- Can sizes and shapes be customized?
A: Yes. The manufacturer supports customization based on drawings and samples, and can provide corundum crucibles of different specifications, capacities, wall thicknesses, and irregular shapes according to customer needs.
